This may be hard to understand for those of you that live in sane parts of the country, but masks in blue state America are still very much a thing and are not going away, not in medical offices anyway. Those of us that live in them need to accept this and decide to either have continually uncomfortable conversations with receptionist gatekeepers, form our own underground network of providers, or move.
My dentist’s office has been fanatical about masks throughout Covid, but I was so hoping by now common sense had finally arrived and that they had ditched the state health department’s mask requirement. I walked in today smiling large and gave the receptionist a boisterous hello, naively hoping she’d pull down her mask and we’d smile and laugh like pre Covid times.
Nope, not even close. I was handed a mask as soon as I walked in. I feigned astonishment that they were still doing this and tried to joke my way out of it, but she wasn’t biting so I told her I’d wait outside until they were ready for me. The dental hygienist was much more relaxed and didn’t bother me when instead of putting on the mask as we walked to the exam room, I just used my hand, sort of. You know, because covering your face while walking magically stops Covid particles from escaping after you’re sitting down and allowed to take off your mask. Science!!
I even tried talking frankly to the dentist, who actually admitted that masks don’t work well and said it’s horrible that children have to wear them, but that he needs to keep his staff safe. Oh and they’ve all had Covid. More Science!!
I could actually see in his eyes the cognitive dissonance struggle going on in his brain. I know on a superficial level he gets it, but the mask talisman runs deep in people, it will be a long time before they let go. If ever.
I really do like my dentist and his staff, which is why I continue to go there, even though I know other dentists aren’t requiring masks. If they continue on with this though, I’m going to have to go elsewhere. There is something about being forced to live a lie that just eats at your sole. You can only go against your principles for so long and I am 150% against forced masking.
Masks don’t work against aerosolized viral particles. We’ve known this for a long time, way before Covid, so once it became known in spring of 2020 that the virus was airborne, that should have put the kibosh on mask mandates. It didn’t of course, public health double and triple downed on them, in fact the whole world seemed to have gone bat crap crazy mad on masks.
Nowhere has it been shown that masks helped to mitigate the virus, to the contrary, cases would quite often spike after mandates were introduced, prompting the dummy politicians in charge to blame us for not masking hard enough!
Forced masking on a societal level also brings much harm, physically and psychologically and is corrosive to the glue that holds us together. They are needlessly divisive and hinder interpersonal communication within an already isolated public. Honestly masks are dehumanizing and people should have never been forced to wear them. And don’t even get me started on masking children. If there is justice in the world, people will go to jail for making kids wear them for hours on end, day after day.
When my appointment was over, I was asked to put the mask on so everyone would be safe while I walked 30 feet to the door. I obliged. I had gotten my point across and didn’t want to leave on a bad note. Not gonna lie though, a part of me wanted to dangle the mask on my middle finger and flip everyone the bird, as I danced to the exit.
The mask I was given was an N95, which I had never worn before and thank God, as it was horribly uncomfortable. Completely pointless too, as the gaps by my cheeks were large enough for me to easily stick my finger through. If I were actually shedding the virus, 100s of thousands of viral particles would have blown though that air space with every breath and even right through it if it was a surgical or cloth one. The small office would have been entirely polluted with Covid within a half hour.
But continue on we shall with this theater of masking, even though most of us know how ridiculous it is.
Because, science!!

Sorry to hear of your dilemma interacting with the spineless woke/cult crowd whom cannot discern their right hand from their left but choose to continually submit themselves to the bondage and abuse of another great deception.
I have watched insects and how they react to danger, even they have a greater intelligence than those who desire to impose useless mask wearing.
Day in and day out now the world over everything is nothing more than a theatrical s**t show and those in the know need to be continually on the outside looking in to the objectives of those dealers dealing the cards of deceit.

You may well be right about the effectiveness of masks but this has been a hot debate since the first day of this virus. I believe especially now that mask wearing has a psychological effect, similar to wearing a seat belt. We know that a seat belt can but does not always save a life in an accident, however we strap in because it is the least we can do to keep us feeling safe. On building sites wearing a helmet is mandatory, however there is no guarantee it will save your life as most falling debris from cranes or from construction will easily crush a head in a helmet, but you feel safer with one perched on top. I know plenty of people who have underlying health problems who will do what they can include wearing masks to not become infected and I guess medical organisations do not want to take the risk that these people will be infected while visiting their establishment. We have had so many off work from the virus and the flu earlier in the year that had effected many businesses and services, however now we are getting back to normal.

Well the debates that went on here consisted of those that just KNOW masks work shouting down those that presented facts/data showing otherwise, while big tech censored anything outside of the “accepted” narrative on masks. This did not serve people well and now that the narrative has crumbled, the mask clingers don’t know what to do with themselves so they cling to a failed protocol.
Things like seatbelts and helmets actually work and bring no harm in return. This is not the case for masks and aerosolized aerosolized viruses. In addition to the masks harms I listed in the post, immunocompromised individuals suffer the most. They are led to believe they are protected by others wearings masks, when they are not. Anyone wishing to protect themselves should be wearing professionally fitted respirator masks and understand that even this will only offer protection for a limited time.

I can’t help commenting on the shift of the argument. It’s just too delicious. The same people who told us “Masks work and you have to wear one to prevent the virus from spreading or you are selfish and don’t care about killing granny” are saying now “Yeah, they might not work, Never mind but they make you feel better. Hey, it’s like a seat belt. Doesn’t always work as well but hey, it makes you feel better.”
They still cannot admit that these masks are useless.
Seatbelts and helmets work always within the specified limits.
We can say that for a person with an average weight of X the seatbelt prevents serious injuries when the car crashes whith a velocity not higher than Y against a concrete wall.
Such data was derived from thousands of experiments.
We can say that a helmet built according to safety standard X can protect against a brick with weight Y falling from height Z.
Absolutely NO SUCH DATA is available for masks.
Everyone knows the limits of seatbelts and helmets. You don’t have to be a genious to figure out that the seatbelt doesn’t help you if you crash ai 100 mph against a truck.
Neither do you have to be a genius to figure out that a helmet won’t protect you from a palette of bricks falling an your head.
whereas we know that seatbelts and helmets work always within wellknown limits, there is zero evidence that masks work at all, let alone data defining the limits in which they are supposed to work.
As I’ve said. It’s mask voodoo.
What will they say when some day it will be revealed that masks not only didn’t work but that they did damage to the health of many people?
Will they say “How could I know? At the time.the experts said …. At the time science said …”, ignoring the fact that we cited experts and scientist and that we told them again and again that there is no evidence these masks work and that we warned them again and again that these masks are harmful?
My guess is, they will say: “How could I know?”
How else could they live with the guilt of having been complicit in harming many people?
They will lie to themselves. They will go on and they will lear nothing!.

Mask voo doo is the perfect term for this. And yes they continually lie to themselves about the harms of masks. 10 years from now when people are dying of lung disease because they are saturated with mask fibers they will still not get it.

I’ve always called it “mask voodoo”.
It’s also the epitome of stupid citizens. When in Germany the mask mandates for supermakets, groceries etc.fell, I was happy to shop without that filthy, disgusting.rag but many still wore that useless cloth. Fortunately it’s gotten much better and you see fewer and fewer people with masks. Still, you see people wearing that rag even outdooors. These masks are also the epitome of brainwashing and propaganda.
The scientifically proven negative effects of masks:
– Reduced oxygen intake.
– Increased CO2 intake.
– Increased risk of bacteria infection
– Negative psychological effects.

Like Michael I live in Ga. but we still have those fools that will cling to the lies and faithfully “protect others” by wearing their face diaper and glare daggers at those who know the truth. Thankfully, I have only one Dr. that absolutely requires wearing a mask. There is no talking reason with people who have been brain washed so thoroughly.

At least not yet, I pointed out to at least 7 journalists (back in the first few weeks of them promoting the death cycle) the most obvious obfuscations of their fear porn objectives.
The ‘many’ who continue to succumb to, or support the daily orchestrated lies will serve these same lies until the time frames written within Daniel chapters 11 and 12 come to fruition, at this point it will be too late for them. Simply put, they will recognize a level of shame which will come upon their own head once they realize they could’ve had a V-8.

I have never worn a slave mask. If a business wouldn’t serve me because of this I wouldn’t do business with them. I live in a state that believes in gun control, as most everyone has guns and they practice shooting them for proper gun control in case there are subversive LIARS who try to steal them.
The hallmark of the Brave New World is the ignorance of simple FACTS, and to ignore the oxygen deprivation and breathing of bacteria by wearing the mask is just that, ignoring FACTS. Feeling that slave masks work is merely the road to hell paved with good intentions.
I moved from California because I saw all of this coming and I did my best to warn people. I was even blessed by Tricia writing about me as a conspiracy theorist, and now she is one herself. However, the truth is not a conspiracy theory, as a true conspiracy theory is believing vegetable Biden has a functioning brain.
There are very few zombies who wear slave masks where I live but still a few. A couple weeks ago one of the zombies overheard something I said in a deli. I have been known to trigger fragile egos occasionally with the truth I say. This zombie proceeded to take off his dirty bacteria infested slave mask and put it on the table I was eating at to tell me I am wrong. I recoiled in horror obviously. Did this zombie realize how disgusting and rude this was? Not in the least as he believed he was right correct?

Even I continue to ask myself why so many dystopianites could possibly desire to separate their own spiritual wellbeing of wisdom, knowledge and truth to succumb themselves to socially acceptable narratives promoting death… a sane mind is a peaceful mind knowing that their is nothing hidden that shall not be revealed.

Ha! Good post, Tricia. I recently waltzed right into an office to retrieve a package and nearly caused a panic in my unmasked state. We’re still at about a third of the population wearing them. I noticed during our recent protests, nearly everyone up to no good was wearing one. It’s a uniform, your gang colors, and also a way to hide your identity if you’re a trouble maker.
Also, I don’t wish to be unkind but watching some of our evangelizing atheists in bloggerville attempt to justify the masks as being a placebo, a superstitious thing that we should honor because it gives people the illusion of safety, is just too ironic. Whatever happened to “science?”

My employer (about whom I complain frequently on WP) still believes in masks and vaccinations. Hardly a day goes by when we aren’t warned that someone among us has tested positive for COVID, and the same reminder goes on to say that those of us who are not fully vaccinated and boosted must wear a mask at all times while on company property. I don’t know why it hasn’t struck them that their policy is not working. (Yes, I am seeking a different job.) Meanwhile, my dentist retired two years ago when this whole thing began, and I haven’t gotten around to seeing a new one yet. J.

Back when mask mandates were first imposed, I got into a protracted argument on your blog with some schmuck who insisted that not only were masks effective at preventing transmission of Covid, but that ALL public health/medical/epidemiological experts agreed that they were effective. When I pointed out that the experts were not unanimous on this point, that many of them argued the opposite, the guy replied that he had never seen or heard any expert disagree on the point, as if his ignorance of something proved that it could not exist. I replied there were plenty of experts who said that masks were useless, but their voices were not allowed on any of the mainstream media or social media, so if you get all your information from government-approved sources then it’s no surprise that you haven’t heard any dissenting voices. He responded with frank astonishment that I would give credence to anyone who was not connected with the government. Yes, that’s the way he phrased it — “not connected with the government.” I abandoned the argument at that point, because you can’t reason with anyone who is naïve enough to believe that the government is never mistaken and never lies.

When this all shakes out, there should be many lawsuits against big tech. Their censorship has literally caused people to die by suppressing early treatment protocols, mask ineffectiveness and vaccine side effects. They are just as up to their eyeballs on this as politicians and public health officials.

I assure you that is the problem. The poison in the junk food poisons the brain so it cannot think on purpose! Because they don’t realize it it merely perpetuates their unconsciousness by design. Cleaning up your diet is extremely important for the mind to function properly.
I checked out yesterday from the grocery store as none of the items that the lady had in front of me nor the 2 people behind me I would buy. Soda, energy drinks, doritos, etc. It is all poison and death by a thousand cuts!
And you are exactly correct the poison food makes them complicit slaves on purpose by design. Hence, the slave mask!

Ye, many are so spiritually blinded from recognizing their spiritual body outside of their flesh body that they cannot discern themselves and who they are.. Paul states in 2 Corinthians 4:4 that the God of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers.
Even after reading this post yesterday I was at the grocery store and a lady wearing dark glasses, and a leopard spotted mask, silver jewelry all over her fingers, wrists, huge purse in her basket etc… was behind me at the checkout.. I was analyzing all of this garb, and could tell she was getting pissed because was staring at her face. I then told her it looks like she has a leopard stuck to her face, she lifted her glasses and angrily told me she does.
Another obvious thing I recognized was that she is not from Northern Idaho but is transplanted from another state because the the normal Idaho women would never fall into this same mentality.

To Mask or not to mask…THAT! … is the question of the pathetically absurd…
I work in an office where a few people have tested positive for CoViD and management believes that AFTER someone has been working in the office with their fellow co-workers, and they test positive AFTER being around their co-workers every day prior to testing positive, then those in the office who were around the positive tested person should wear a mask so they don’t catch CoViD….
Yep… I’m sure you had to read that a couple times cuz it makes zero logical sense.
I actually told my supervisor that wearing a mask after spending hours/days/weeks around someone who tested positive for CoViD makes as much sense as a person getting into their car…not wearing a seatbelt….getting into an accident …then deciding they should put the seatbelt on.
The logic of the stupid cannot be explained. 🙂

Back in March 2021, at the beginning of the pandemic, when my employer instituted a mask mandate, I told management, “Wearing masks is stupid. Americans don’t wear masks. We are the land of the free and home of the brave.” That went over like a lead balloon.
Then for the next couple of weeks I reminded my coworkers of Edgar Allen Poe’s horror story, Mask of the Red Death, where a group of 1%’ers hold up in a mansion to escape the plague, to no avail.
“Everyone is going to get COVID-19. There is no way to escape it.” I am lucky I didn’t get fired for expressing misinformation aka the cold, hard truth.

I liked the part of your story about you observing your dentist (a highly educated professional) experience cognitive dissonance. We are taught to be that way in our Progressive government school system. Half the country swallows it hook, line and sinker. The other half keeps their brains as their very own. The COVID-19 pandemic exposed pervasive, deeply ingrained moral and intellectual rot.
