Letter To My Employer

Like many of you, I’m starting to get pressure from my company to get the vaccine. They’ve not made it a requirement for employment yet, but you are expected to mask up while on company grounds if not vaccinated. I hate this, but as a remote employee it also doesn’t effect me much.

More recently they implemented a double vaccination requirement to attend our upcoming sales achievement bonus trip, which is an annual event that rewards sales people for meeting their quotas. I’ve always enjoyed these trips, as you get to mingle with colleagues, who for most of the year you only communicate with virtually and everyone feels appreciated and rewarded for all their hard work.

I won’t be attending this year because I have not gotten the vaccine, nor do I plan to.

I know many of you are facing much more dire circumstances with these mandates and risk losing a job, or perhaps you already have. I’m so saddened that this is happening, but really am not surprised. I think those of you that share my concerns have realized by now that no one is coming to save us from this Covid madness.

There is a mass psychosis going on that’s hostile to common sense, data and logic and thus more of the same failed policies from 2020 are being re- implemented with the addition of vaccine mandates. It’s up to us to say no, to speak out for others who can’t and to push back hard against harmful narratives and policies.

After a discussion about this with my boss, I decided to write a letter that I’m hoping will be shared with the policy decision makers at my company. Even if it goes nowhere it felt good to get this off my chest.

If you’d like to create your own letter, feel free to use any part of my mine that you think will help. This is what I wrote:

For what it’s worth, I want to expand on our conversation the other day about the company’s vaccine requirement to attend the Club trip. While I understand and can respect its desire to protect employees from Covid infection and the liability issues involved, there are some things that disturb me.

First, these vaccines do not provide sterilizing immunity, which means a vaccinated person can get and transmit the virus just like the unvaccinated (1), something that’s become obvious these past few weeks. In fact an infected vaccinated person may spread the virus even more than an unvaxxed person due to large viral loads found in nasal passages during the highly contagious first 5 days of infection (2). A vaccinated person is also likely to have less symptoms and thus not apt to change behavior and quarantine, becoming their own super spreader.

If this is true, and as of now there is no reason to believe it’s not, then what is the purpose of singling out unvaccinated employees? This doesn’t seem aimed at mitigating viral spread, but more of a punishment to coerce people to get vaccinated.

Second, what about those of us that have had Covid and who now have natural immunity? It’s pretty well known that the Covid recovered have long lasting and robust immunity to the virus (3,4,). This is true of most viruses actually, look at SARS1 where almost 20 years later those those that were infected with it still have protection (5). Natural immunity also provides better protection than the vaccines (6) because the body is exposed to the whole virus, while the vaccines just target the spike protein. That’s probably why we’re seeing so many breakthrough cases with Delta, as the vaccines were not targeted to this variant.

Given this information, why is the company not acknowledging natural immunity? I don’t want a special exemption for the trip because I’ve had Covid (I want everyone to attend), but it troubles me that natural immunity is not part of the discussion. Again it leads me to think that the vaccine requirement is more about coercion than creating a safe environment for employees.

The decision to get vaccinated is a highly personal one and the choice should be left to each individual based on their own medical history and risk assessment. The vaccines were designed to give protection to the people taking them and no one else. Seeing as how they are available to anyone who wants one, there should be no restrictions for those of us that have chosen not to get it.

This goes for masks mandates for the unvaccinated as well, which also seems more about punishment than safety. It’s been known for quite some time that they are useless at mitigating aerosolized viral particles and wearing them for extended periods is harmful both physically and psychologically. (7, 8)

Vaccine mandates to participate in every day life activities don’t make sense medically or ethically, are a gross violation of privacy rights and have no place in free and democratic societies. By demonizing the unvaccinated and pressuring the private sector to impose restrictions and/or withhold employment from them, our government has opened the door to medical tyranny that history has taught will lead to atrocious and horrific acts of violence. My hope is that our company will not participate by not imposing policies that withhold privileges to employees who choose not to inject themselves with experimental drugs.

I love working for this company and and want to continue doing so for many more years. I’m worried though that this trip vaccine requirement will lead to further restrictions down the road and am hoping you can bring my concerns up during your meetings this coming week. Feel free to share this with anyone.

I’m glad you did what you did and I really hope you don’t get ‘punished’ for it. I also work remote but so far, haven’t been pressured to get it.

Your points are all so valid, I couldn’t agree more! It really is mass psychosis and nobody is coming to save us. It’s only a matter of time though.

    Great post!

  2. Very well said. I think these companies that are mandating this stuff are totally ignorant of the facts about masks and vaccines as well as our legal rights to refuse. We are getting so close to being a communist country it is scary. Come Lord Jesus come!

You are so right, there is SO much ignorance surrounding Covid. Unfortunately it comes from the very people who have decision making authority over our lives. I just don’t get it and it is scary.

  3. Excellent summary. I hope they take it seriously. Thanks for making it a resource to other! Very helpful.

As a consultant and contractor, I have not had to face this as an issue.

Blessings for continuing to speak the truth.

Thanks Michael, I appreciate that. My husband is an independent contractor as well and calls his own shots so at least we have one of us with a guaranteed job. It
s so odd that America has come to this.

I know you’ve been vaccinated which makes me appreciate your support on this matter all the more. We need more vaccinated folks to step up and say these mandates are unacceptable.

Wow. Great letter, Tricia. I’m not surprised that you felt the need to do this as you are one who walks the walk as well as talks the talk and have from the get go. Anxious to hear if you get any feedback on this from the policy makers.

Your cool headed approach Tricia should be taken into consideration by they (if they read) who it concerns.

The sheer fact alone that there are considerable variables/ questions/ concerns/ all which u mention, should give a thinking person pause. The goalposts change by the minute, with many heads now embarrassed they that promoted things not proven-

The corporate thugs have mega $ invested, and even they with good good intentions find themselves in a maelstrom of deceit.

It’s a tough one for you- even a voice of protest can slow down the inevitable tats which will be ‘to keep you safe……’. So good on you-

I hope my thoughts are taken to consideration but I’m not holding my breath. Like you said there are so many variables to be debated or at least considered. Discussions only seem to follow one narrative though which is so frustrating.

If I hear one more government or public health person say they are restricting my freedom in some way to keep me or others “safe” I swear I will lose it. They care nothing about people’s safety or well being. I wish more people understood this.

  6. Good for you, Tricia! Well done.

I have been writing to all my elected officials and the Governor. I’m commenting on bills being introduced and trying to encourage them to get on it. I’ve also attended some medical freedom protests.

I really believe employers need to honor our autonomy and respect our freedom to make our own medical decisions. They don’t own our bodies, we do.

It’s just a travesty where I live. We’ve now fired covid nurses who risked their lives (and their family’s) and worked all through the pandemic. We’ve actually been taking people off the organ transplant list for failing to get vaccinated. We’re denying people housing. We’re instituting vaccine passports. We’re discussing the possibility of blocking unvaccinated people from grocery stores and hospitals. As grim as this all is, it’s good in a way, because it’s instigating conflict and a showdown.

I’m so pleased IB to hear you say that you’re writing to your elected officials and attending protests. We all need to do this as the only thing these officials care about is possibly losing their jobs. WA sounds worse than CA if you can believe that as far is this nonsense goes. And yes, I heard about the hospitals up there denying organ transplants to the unvaccinated. Tell me again, HOW IS THIS ABOUT PUBLIC HEALTH???

It’s so obviously not and perhaps it’s a good thing in a way like you said.because it’s causing more and more people to wake up and push back.

    Good work! This is what we need more of. Back in the days before outsourcing and when we had anti-trust laws, Corporate America would never have gotten away with this Mandate stuff. I had family in the Teamsters, the Railroad Union, and the UAW— when Organized Labor actually had some teeth the Elites would have learned quickly who depends whom. Klaus Schwab just said the other day that Labor was now expendable;

Yes we are expendable according to Klause and I believe he also said we will own nothing in the future and like it os something ridiculous like that.

It’s interesting that the mandates that have come down in CA have excluded govt unions. Hmm, I wonder why?

Reblogged this on Artaxes' brainbench and commented:
One of the bloggers I really like, is Tricia with her blog “Freedom Through Empowerment” (https://freedomthroughempowerment.wordpress.com/).
She is constantly and consistently writing against the mass psychosis that is induced and fueled by the world’s goverments (supposedly) in reaction to the wuhan virus.
This tells me that “Freedom Through Empowerment” is not just a slogan but that her fight for the cause of freedom stems from a burning desire for keeping and expanding our individual freedoms.
I share the same desire and I see in her a kindred spirit
She writes using rational thought, data, scientific evidence and, most importantly, critical thinking.
Not only talking the talk but walking the walk, she published a letter to her employer dealing with the company’s vaccination requirements. I agree wholeheartedly with her post and her letter.
The only thing I want to add is this: As true as “Freedom Through Empowerment” is “Empowerment Through Freedom” and it is by taking away our freedoms that certain persons and institutions seek to keep or increase their power. We cannot let it happen.

As a progressive liberal who identifies as non euthanized I support your decision entirely.

Under no circumstances should you take the shot since it is merely a selection of idiots who are going to the slaughterhouse alone as a Bilderderg member stated. As you know I have been against poison injection vaxxines for years.

Your job is expendable, your life is not. Banksters lives like Schwab are expendable as they are useless eaters, not you.

The book of revelation is not fiction as we have many prideful bigots refusing to look at the poison ingredients in the vax, and pride goes before destruction. Many tin foil hat conspiracy theorists who believe the government and propaganda media will find out the hard way.

Plato’s Republic is America whether you like it or not. The truth is stranger than fiction.

Fabulous letter. When I heard about the FDA approval today, my heart sank. My work hasn’t mandated yet, but I’ll be ready. I ran into a regular customer today who was complaining about “all these idiots not getting vaccinated.” So I took a deep breath, and reminded her there are lots of folks who CAN’T get the vax for medical reasons. She paused and said, “well, that’s true.” It was like it hadn’t even occurred to her! Thanks MSM for making the unvaccinated out to be the enemies. I also saw read an someone’s response to their employer who wanted to mandate the vax. He proceeded to tell his employer that was fine, but he’d like to have the health status of ALL other employees: if they were HIV positive, had TB, had their measles vaccine, what countries they’d travelled to, etc. A little snarky perhaps, but also brilliant. I mean, if we’re going to discriminate, by all means, let’s discriminate against EVERYONE, right? (rolling my eyes)

Thanks Lisa. And yes the MSM and politicians have created an awful situation by demonizing the unvaccinated, not least of which because their reasoning behind it is faulty. They and everyone else pushing an “all these unvaccinated are idiots” narrative are treading on very dangerous waters.

I like your response too, excellent! A little snark used the right way goes a long way. 😉

The propaganda media that conspiracy theorists listen to describe themselves well as selected idiots going to the slaughterhouse alone!

The stupidity virus is rampant which is leading directly to natural selection.

The lie is so big it is beyond the grasp of the masses! I don’t expect to be believed by the many, only the few.

Thank you for this post, Tricia. I’m not bold enough to send this letter to my employer–I’m already on double-secret probation as things stand right now. Being unvaccinated (even though I have immunity through having had COVID three months ago), I am required to wear a mask while on company property–three strikes and I’m out, I am also barred from attending any employee gatherings, even mandatory gatherings. The company has used the carrot–they are giving eight hours Paid Time Off to every vaccinated employee, and in the spring they drew names for cash prizes from the list of vaccinated employees. Now they have announced that they will hire no one who is without proof of vaccination. I figure there is only one more step left for them to take, and I’m just waiting for that shoe to fall. J.

Oh gosh Salvageable, I’m so sorry to hear of this. It’s just horrible how your employer is acting, as if you’re second class citizen.I wonder if they have any idea how dehumanizing their polices are and where stuff like this inevitably leads.

I doubt it, but when the history books are written I’m confident they and others doing the same things will not be looked at kindly.

Best of luck navigating all this, I’ll be praying for you.

  13. It’s ridiculous for the government and private employers to make an experimental vaccine mandatory. I wonder when some legal defense-funded law offices are going to start organizing victims of vaccination discrimination into credible class action lawsuits, to fight back…leveling the ideological playing field.

You might also want to mention that the vaccine is not a cure of COVID-19. Hospitals won’t give the vaccine to people who are suffering from COVID-19 because it will actually cause more issues and weaken what little effectiveness the vaccine actually has on the body. – You can research it yourself. —

Also, it makes very little sense why “experts” are telling people not to get vaccinated if they currently have COVID-19 because…and I quote…”it might spread COVID-19 by infecting those people at the vaccination clinic with COVID.” — IF (and that’s a big “if”) this were a cure, they would be giving the vaccine to people who have COVID and coronavirus…but it’s not…and they aren’t.

    God Bless! 🙂

Tricia, I’m sorry to hear this and I hope your company listen to reason.

All through this farce I’ve felt sorry for those at work who have suffered most from the arbitrary, constantly changing rules and had to face the public while everyone’s nerves are shredded.

As you work remotely that you should require a vaccine is nonsense.

If you feel you need to move to another state, move fast, before your options collapse completely.

    Hi
I think your letter is very heartfelt and concise.
I am in a similar boat but mine is no jab no job with a state health service. I have been off work since 1/11/2021 and have exhausted all leave, unable to access income protection and have now had to resort to cashing in all investments so we can live pay bills and keep a roof over our heads.
I have tried to access legal help but find all the lawyers I have initially spoken with don’t want a bar of helping someone in my predicament.
My main question to state mandating and lawyers is that there are 168 hrs/wk, I only work 37.5 hrs/wk, employer mandating or in my case the police commissioner how can an intrusion into my private life with a work mandate be okay? I can’t don or doff the vaccine so this means that my personal life is affected by my employer. Response has been from state has been “get over it, just have the vaccine”. The total disregard and callousness makes me believe more that this is not about health!
Hope your situation turns out for the best.
