To Honor The Dead We Must Live Life

The French have a saying called joie de vivre which technically means enjoyment of life or exuberant spirit.  Like many French to English translations, it’s true essence is difficult to convey as the phrase is more akin to an emotion or way of living.

It’s not so much about excitement, but the spark of life found in every day things; a dance with a stranger, a shared laugh with a shop clerk, a heartfelt experience during a prayer meeting, a meal with loved ones, a single flower catching the sun’s rays.

Insanitybytes2 touched on this in an awesome video called Life from her post How Then Shall We Live? It really shows the importance of human connection and how it’s the glue that keeps us connected, healthy and joyful.

Our dystopian world of masked faces, fear and isolation can make us forget this, but we must push through this nonsense and show people how to live again and that acting like human beings who smile at each other, hug and dance together is not a danger to society.  In fact the very opposite is true.

The French of course, as they do in most things, have their own way of expressing this, which this recent flash mob at a train station protesting lockdowns beautifully exemplifies  There’s no English subtitles, but your senses will absorb the message.  Personally I was mesmerized and couldn’t stop watching.  Seriously, watch the video.

La peur de la mort n’empêche pas de mourir, mais elle empêche de vivre. – Fear of death does not prevent death, but prevents life.

Nous, en veut à continue danser encore. – We want to continue dancing again.

Voir nos pensées embrasser nos corps.-See our thoughts embrace our bodies.

Nos venons briser, le silence.-We’ve come to break the silence.

Chaque mesure autoritaire, voit s’envoler notre confiance. Every authoritative measure, sees our confidence disappear.

Ils font preuve de tant d’insistance, pour confiner notre conscience!.  They show so much insistence, to confine our consciousness!

Ne soyons pas impressionnable par tous ces gens déraisonnables.-We are not impressed by these unreasonable people.

Vendeurs de peur abondance.-Fear sellers galore.

Et pour notre santé mentale, nos sourires, notre intelligence, ne soyons pas sans resistance– And for our mental health, our smiles, our intelligence, let’s not be without resistance.

Indeed.  Vive la France!

Art, dance, theatre, concerts, celebrations of life, marriage, death and religious holidays these things are what make us human and yet they’ve been all but canceled or drastically minimized for over a year now.  What does that say about what we value?

We must get back to what matters most.  Nous, en veut à continue danser encore.

They dance and sing, smile and have a good time. We’re locked in our houses and watch the riots and listen to the lies on T.V. How sad.

Pretty much like the song says.. “…you don’t know what you got till it’s gone.” Perhaps there will be greater appreciation when it all returns. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

  3. Liberty is so important. We have fallen for lies and just rolled over. YIKES!

    Thanks for speaking the truth.

If you are complying to the face diaper nonsense or taking the genocidal poison vaccine, you have been fooled to believe it is for your safety. It is neither as your article is right we must just get back to living and frankly ignoring our government since they are not for the people, but for the oligarchs from hell.

The sooner we all stop complying to the nonsense the sooner it all ends.

Turn off your TV “programming.” It’s the reason the amish don’t know about the virus since they do not watch it. The amish are right!!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the video! Thanks for sharing it, Tricia. Joie de vivre, indeed! The French really understand vive la résistance. We could learn from them in this regard. I love how they’re dancing over (violating) the little social distancing circles on the floor. This song is a perfect response to the Orwellian lockdowns, and shows how much humans resist Fauci’s flat little world. It put a smile on my face and made me want to dance. Thanks!

Btw, I found the official song video of “To Dance Again” (Dancer Encore) where you can put on the English subtitles and sing along! Keep on dancing!

I LOVED the video too Mel, just made me want to be around people and sing and dance! I hadn’t realized how much I was missing that part of my life and really how important these social aspects are.

I know your state is pretty much open, but it’s really still quite oppressive here in California even though we’ve progressed towards re opening. Most folks are still masked up outside (drives me bananas) and who knows if or when indoor live music and plays will ever happen again and our Governor is a covid control freak who believes masks are magical. If the voters don’t throw him out I’m sure vaccine passports here are not far off. Entirely depressing.

Yeah, my son and daughter-in-law are holed up in SoCal. They are planning their exodus this Summer. I do hope you all get Newsom out. At least you made some gains with more rational House reps. What’s crazy is that it wasn’t that long ago that California was a red state! Seems like a million years ago. Praying for better days!

Gosh, I wonder why I left California?

I know you won’t believe me, but I saw this coming. Not all the details mind you, but the direct energy fires which were not real among other things are not good.

You should think about moving as when things get bad it will not be a good place.

But of course as you know, I used to be a conspiracy theorist. LOL!!!

Lol! You still are a conspiracy theorist, it’s just some of them happen to come true! 🤣

I was only a conspiracy theorist when I somewhat believed the main stream media!

Thus I don’t believe a thing they say so I am no longer a conspiracy theorist!!

Every day you also become less of a conspiracy theorist! It is the natural progression when you search for Truth!!

  6. Amen! Great video, Tricia. We need a bit more of that “life and life abundant” going on all over the planet, but especially in our silly little states of tyranny her on the left coast. I’m laughing here, but these days I sing really loud and I dance..terribly, but I do it because the world is just starved for some signs of life and some enthusiasm and joy.

I wish we could all get together and sing loudly while dancing badly IB! You’re right the world is in desperate need of seeing life how it’s meant to be lived with big smiles on our maskless faces.

I went through two Home Depot’s and the better part of a grocery store with no mask on today and it was glorious!

I have never worn a slave mask.

I am wearing a shirt that says spot the sheeple, They are wearing the bacteria infested oxygen deprived slave mask.

For some reason people are afraid to state their opinion about slave masks when in my presence!

I appear insane in our dystopian world to remain sane!!

      @Tricia

A theme song for the revolution. One of the things about tyranny is that artists suffer more than anyone else. Yet, ironically enough, artists often promote tyranny. We all have to think through the consequences of a belief BEFORE we adopt and promote it, but artists tend to be more emotional than logical. They have the brains to be logical, but logic has been dropped from the curriculum.

So, I am glad to see this. Even if it is a bit little and a bit late it is a start.

This is so true Tom about many artists. They tend to vote for the very same bozos that have destroyed their profession. Well, maybe this sorry episode will cause them to think deeper about their choices and to value liberty more. One can only hope.

Thanks for coming by. Better late to the party than never. 🙂
