ABC’s Big, Fat Fail-Killing the Jeffrey Epstein Story

“There will come a day when the country realizes that Jeffrey Epstein was the most prolific pedophile this country has ever known”.  ~Brad Edwards, Attorney for Jeffrey Epstein’s sex abuse victims

Well, that day came but 3 years and many victims too late. As the leaked video below from Project Veritas shows, the Epstein scandal  could have come to light a few years ago but didn’t due to a corporate decision to not run the story.

Watch a very frustrated Amy Robach, Co-host of ABC’s 20/20, vent on a hot mic how the extensive piece she compiled on Jeffrey Epstein was killed because network bigwigs were afraid the rich and powerful client base who Epstein was accused of providing young girls to would hamper its ability to report on future major stories.

In other words, ABC put concerns over ratings above exposing a serial child rapist and bringing justice to his victims.

Some quotes from Ms. Robach”

“I’ve had this story for three years….(ABC) would not put it on the air”

“It was unbelievable……we had Clinton.  We had everything…..”

“We had her whole allegations about Prince Andrew….I got a little concerned about why I couldn’t get on.”

“There were a lot of men in those planes, a lot of men who visited that island, lot of powerful men who came in to that apartment…”

I highly recommend giving the video a watch, at least the first 1 1/2 minutes.  It will make your blood boil, but it’s also a timely reminder that the media does not care about women, nor children, nor  you or I for that matter or the betterment of this country.

It’s easy to see that ABC’s decision to suppress the story and it’s mealy mouthed defense of this was based entirely on not upsetting the wrong people, because God knows that might have jeopardized its access to members of the Royal Family and coverage of Prince William’s wedding.

It’s an absolutely disgusting state of affairs, but something to keep in mind the next time the county explodes over some political/cultural event and the news media jumps to cover it.  The people that run these outfits do not have our backs.

  1. just one example of the lies our networks hide—as they fear the powerful—
Benghazi will always haunt me…as I trust it will with Hillary…
and now we deal with whistleblowers and congressmen who act like the goodie two shoes that they are not…
oh for that long lost deserted island…

So true Julie. I’ve never realized just how manipulative the news media is until I really started scrutinizing things during this past year. I know there are some good and well intentioned people that work for those organizations but the ones that call the shots are hypocritical and corrupt and care only about lining their pockets and pushing a narrative. They are more to blame I think than most others for the divisiveness in this country.

    So well said, Tricia!

You said: “In other words, ABC put concerns over ratings above exposing a serial child rapist and bringing justice to his victims.”

So true… and so incredibly sad! I can’t figure this out, and I guess I’m glad of it. In my very humble opinion, the only way to understand this state of mind is to share it, it’s so foreign, so bizarre, so cold, callous, so… evil.

This behavior of Epstein, and it appears, various rich, powerful and really famous personnages in the Democrat Party, is the kind of behavior that the Taliban would do. It’s what we’d expect to find in Rotherham, England… the story of which should cause the reader to gasp in disbelief, then to weep in despair.

You said, also: “It’s an absolutely disgusting state of affairs, but something to keep in mind the next time the count(r)y explodes over some political/cultural event and the news media jumps to cover it. The people that run these outfits people do not have our backs.

So true! How, though, does one not “have the backs” of young girls in the clutches of predatory, dirty, old men? Way above and beyond mind-boggling. And, again, so very, very sad.

Thanks for coming by x and good observations. It all is so very mind boggling like you said. It just confirms for me we are dealing with a sickness and rot in our culture that goes way beyond individual actions. It’s a deeply spiritual evil that’s infected a growing continent of people.

  3. Limited sympathy. Ronan Farrow ran up against the same corporate BS with NBC when he wanted to break the Harvey Weinstein story, so he took it elsewhere. That takes a lot of courage, but the thing to remember is, corporations are there to make money. Reporters are there to report. Sometimes the two things are mutually exclusive, and that’s when the reporter needs to decide – do they go with the corporation, or do they do their job? She was complicit, in my opinion.

I was going to mention the blockade Ronan Farrow ran in to too with his Harvey Weinstein reporting but didn’t for spacing so thank you bringing it up. I don’t really sympathize with Amy Roach as you’re right, she made the choice to stay silent too. All the networks are the same with this stuff as far as I can tell.

My point though and one that Farrow’s experience reiterates, is that the news media is not our friend. They run various stories that tug at our heart strings and get us to favor this “good guy” over that “bad one”, they virtue signal on all the right pressure points dealing with sexual assault, race relations, LGBT issues, etc….but they don’t really give a whit about such things or the people they claim to champion. We should view the stories they put out with extreme skepticism and always seek out other perspectives.

Epstein will burn in hell and so will the ABC sleazeballs that hid the facts and allowed others to be victimized. Epstein’s activities were known well before ABC failed to bring it to full public disclosure.
One of the many reasons I do not watch the so called main street media. They all spike stories.

Yes, the news industry is more about entertaining people and making a profit than it is about protecting people or confronting evil. Sad, but true. J.

Epstein will burn in hell along with everyone who kept silent and thereby allowed more victims to suffer. Anyone who had knowledge of this degenerates activity is culpable.

I love Rush Limbaugh’s term for the media, “The Drive-by Media”. Just like a drive by shooting…..a lot of damage to people with no recognizable accountability.

Yes, and just a few hours after Project Veritas broke that story, ABC launched a full investigation, traced the whistleblower to CBS and got her fired. But there’s no media collusion or anything, right? In the old days, CBS would have broken the story themselves and wiped out ABC News.

Oh so true NW! After firing the so called leaker, the the self identified real leaker released an open letter to fellow ABC employees saying they got wrong person. The whole thing is just abominable but a clear sign of the times we live in.

The big news outfits are generally owned by large corporations who use them to buy political influence. They don’t exist to inform us. They have been purchased to propagandize us. In fact, it would contrary to th interests of their owners to anger the rich and powerful. So, they only do that when the people they are attacking belong to an enemy faction that is competing with them for power.

Trump is an enemy. He threatens the status quo. That is why they go after him.
